Drugs arrests following joint operation by Queensland Police Service and NSW Police Force

Two men connected to a drug trafficking syndicate based in Sydney, supplying significant quantities of drugs into Queensland, will face court today following a joint operation between the Drug and Serious Crime Group and NSW Police overnight.

As part of an ongoing operation, in partnership with NSW Police and with assistance from the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC), the NSW Crime Commission (NSWCC), members attached to Taskforce Sentry intercepted a vehicle allegedly used to traffic drugs from NSW to QLD yesterday afternoon.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a large amount of precursor chemicals that could be used in methylamphetamine production.
